Using virtualisation technologies, your Virtual Server (VPS) looks just like a dedicated server, it has a full operating system to which you’ll have root/administrator access; however the hardware on which it runs is virtualised which offers reliability, scalability and price benefits to you as the customer.

Using cloud technologies in our web hosting platform and the very latest in hardware ensures your website is always online with access to your data. Across all of our product range we can ensure that maximum power is available at all times to your hosted services.

Reliability

Your Cloud Next services are hosted across multiple redundant servers in our state of the art data centre.

The storage is centralised on a RAID 10 Storage Area Network (SAN) device. This not only makes it a lot quicker, but also means that you’re no longer reliant on the physical machine which your hosting resides.

Unlike other providers, your hosting is part of a large cluster allowing us to provide High Availability (HA). If the cluster detects a failure of any hardware or sees a resource issue, it will automatically move your hosting onto spare hardware. In the unlikely event this did occur you won’t even notice the move, and our engineers would then replace the failed hardware. This allows us to utilise server resource pools and intelligently allocate resources to ensure that your services have 100% access to resources, 100% of the time.

Generally dedicated servers are vastly under-used and in some cases may only be using 25% of its available resources. This results in a big waste of energy and money.
